I've also been trying to verify this report out of Kansas and appreciate Dale's thoughtful thread here.

Haven't found much definitive info, but as of 11:06 a.m. Monday, Tinker officials say: "There has been no direction to relieve Air Force employees at this time." That could change, of course.
I'll go ahead and say that the "This Is Topeka" article announcing 600 layoffs at Tinker AFB this morning has credibility issues. We're working to verify the claims as we continue to report on the mass firings, but here are some reasons to scrutinize the story before reposting it as truth:
