Tally the half schnauzer half husky as a puppy, laying on a gray black and white block area rug, on a mangled shinerbock beer box. Cannot handle how silly she is
My dog Tally, a husky/schnauzer cross who is possibly the creature of all time looking up at the camera. She has beautiful amber eyes which at this angle are almost hidden behind her magnificent mustache. Her eyelashes are long and fabulous. Her nose, closest to the camera, is mostly black with a little bit of pink from winter. Her ears are in stealth mode and not visible.

Recent finds
Rough reddish volcanic rock surrounding a small blue-purple agate vein. A fun and swirly mix of jasper (opaque red) and agate (semi transparent purple-blue) in the foreground and the first find in the background A beautiful piece of jasper where the opaque red iron rich material appears to float on top of the semi-transparent blue-purple agate. Near the top the red has tinges of orange to yellow. In the middle is a tiny agate cavity roughly shaped like a 4pt star ✨. It's being supported by the other two pieces.

Tiny waterline agate
A waterline agate, approximately the size of a dime. Four parallel bands of faintly alternating gray and white form a horizon near the bottom third of the agate. Above, the upper two third are small dense quartz crystals.

A small but stunning jasper in the palm of my pasty hand. It's a bright red, glassy stone composed of iron-rich SiO2 (silicon dioxide). This piece has several tiny blue agate inclusions.

Some of my favorite jasper/jasper adjacent finds from the past few months
An opaque red to orange-red form of chalcedony with inclusions of blue to gray chalcedony, called agate where banding is present. Six specimens of varying size sit in a window sill. The top sample clearly has a lot of iron in it. An opaque red to orange-red form of chalcedony with inclusions of blue to gray chalcedony, called agate where banding is present. Three larger specimens sit on a windowsill. One has a very fun bright red dendritic pattern visible on a face which also shows characteristic conchoidal fractures. Inside of a tiny enclosure is a tiny air plant. Inside of the tiny air plant is a tinier jumping spider. The spider is a dove gray except around the face where it lightens to white.
