Oh cool! So this flower is the symbol of the Nfld Regiment in WW1. The major day for their remembrance besides the 11th, is July 1st, the day of the Battle of Beaumont Hamel. If you see any Caribou on war graves, its them!

Oh I should add, I did try to attend said 5 papers (or 4?) & the sound wasn't even working for the virtual attendees. The chat said it didn't matter as long as the irl folks could hear the talks...and I say no???

That is literally what happened with this one today, it sucks! If someone can't attend in person & wants to send a recorded talk, i feel like that's a bit different than saying its a virtual session but barely having it accessible

I was just at the @asdsdeath.bsky.social conference in the summer, where Every session was available virtually or irl! They were able to use the university's meeting accounts to have an online audience & since you already have tech support in every room, what's the issue??
