Del Toro's Frankenstein is haunting, tragic, and beautiful. The world still feels Gothic and ancient but scientifically advanced in an uncanny way. Jacob Elordi is fantastic.
It's a little less horror-leaning than you may expect but there's still plenty to like and the emotional impact hits hard.

I just saw the first episode of "It: Welcome to Derry" and it's... okay, #horrorsky fam. I still don't know that a series going back to Pennywise's previous cycle is necessary because this already feels redundant but Andy Muschietti does his thing.

I've been extremely excited for this one. I kind of love that the V/H/S franchise has become sort of an annual event and they're constantly trying to out-crazy the previous entries and actually giving directors a space to do creative genre shit. 🧡
