Adaptation and effective communication in collaborative physically Assistive Tasks - Safe & Trusted AI
Physical robotic Assistance can often be modelled as a collaborative task in which the goal of both the user and the robot is to complete an assistive task together. However, assistive settings have a lot of particularities that differentiate them from traditional Human-Robot Collaboration tasks. For it to be effective, the assistance should be seamless, […]

Our new @HRI_Conference paper was just beautifully presented by @l_wachowiak in Boulder, Colorado. Do you want to know when do people want an explanation from a robot?

I am looking for PhD students to start next year!

Are you interested in assistive robotics, explainability, or reasoning for enhanced robotic autonomy?

If so, check the list of potential projects, links on how to apply, and funding opportunities here: https://t.co/n68J6sovi8
PhD Student projects
I am seeking talented students interested in taking a PhD student position at the Department of Informatics, King’s College London. Some of the available projects related to robotics are: Goal-based explanations for autonomous systems and robots: Development of goal reasoning techniques with a focus in assistive robotics domains along with methods to explain the reasoning to a user. Adaptation and effective communication in collaborative physically Assistive Tasks: Development of techniques to handle the communication and adaptation between the robot and the user during the execution of assistive tasks such as feeding or dressing a user.
