When this criminal was jailed, the judge told David Gentile and America: ‘This is a warning to would-be fraudsters that seeking to get rich by taking advantage of investors gets you only a one-way ticket to jail.’ I guess not

The front page of today’s @financialtimes.com seems to approve of tax avoidance by the wealthiest homeowners in the UK. #inittogether

Sadly no room in this piece to explain where they ran away to. It’s in @thespectator1828.bsky.social edited by Michael Gove

Normally, when there is a story about an MP expressing any antisemitism whatsoever, the Jewish Chronicle and Jewish News are, rightly, all over the story, leading the agenda. Unless, it seems, that MP is Nigel Farage. Very peculiar omissions from @jewishchron.bsky.social and @jewishnews.bsky.social

From today’s Times editorial. Words that could have been plucked from a similar article 86 years ago

I imagine Jewish presenters on @gbnewsonline.bsky.social as well as organisations like the Jewish Chronicle and British Board of Deputies would be disgusted by these alarming stories from @peterwalker99.bsky.social and @guardian about Nigel Farage and antisemitism. Or not?

The only people who know the writer of this ‘exclusive’ interview worked with Rachel Reeves and is, quite possibly, a friend are journalists and politicos. Because it’s unmentioned in this article, everyone else is just being duped

From a brilliant @nytimes.com article by @alissawilkinson.bsky.social about the importance of documentary films and how we’re in danger of automatically seeing them as manipulative AI inventions
November 19, 2025 at 7:37 AM
I’d add that ‘journalism is highly vulnerable to AI manipulation’. Polls are mostly commissioned by media companies which use them to set the news agenda…which then influences political debate

Wondering if anything’s missing from this list of what the Daily Mail believes has made society more toxic, unforgiving , angry, polarised and divided than ever. Starmer, Labour, the Left, immigrants, Muslims, lawyers, multiculturalism and social media. Anything else, Daily Mail?

Comments ‘have not been enabled’ for this brilliant article by @edwardluce.bsky.social ‬⁩ about the MAGA-inspired antisemitism. An article that absolutely needs comments. What on earth is the @financialtimes.com frightened of?

Dear ChatGPT, can you help me write an article about hiring leaders:
‘Good leaders need to be collaborative, have expertise, make decisions, have emotional intelligence and stamina, have good references, be self-aware. Read this book, use this model and hire this firm.’

Offer them a room in their huge houses or build an annexe to look after them, like other wealthy children do when their parents need help

From one of the best interviews you’ll read this weekend. Anthony Hopkins talks to David Marchese @nytimes.com

Once again the ⁦ @financialtimes.com says ‘Comments have not been enabled for this article’. A perfectly ordinary story about Jews but editor Roula Khalaf is afraid of…what from her readers?
October 25, 2025 at 12:49 PM
‘Responsible publishers’. @hugorifkind.bsky.social‬⁩ is one of the very few commentators & journalists to highlight the key issue with social media companies. They (hello, Nick Clegg) want us to call them platforms without legal responsibility, unlike those who *publish* material
October 23, 2025 at 6:07 AM
‘Comments have not been enabled for this article’
Why?
Almost alone in the media, the @financialtimes.com won’t allow readers to comment on (very good) journalism about Jews. I’d love to understand its policy

I watched Diane Keaton in Manhattan Murder Mystery last night and realised why I love the film and her performance so much. Improvisation. And in the age of AI, we need more of it

I wish Heather Knight @nytimes.com had figured out a way of squeezing in this wonderful anecdote at the start rather than the end of her fascinating interview with Trump-convert Marc Benioff
October 11, 2025 at 2:48 PM
A brilliant editor once told me that sometimes you should run campaigns you never expect to win. The campaign thus lasts longer, the messaging can be more powerful and you'll gain greater sympathy and support. Has no one wondered if this was Trump's intention all along with the Nobel Peace Prize?

So right from Jennifer Aniston. These companies are publishers not just platforms but they operate without the same oversight and constraints that traditional publishers must abide by
