This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source.

Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

He's not a "kid." He's an adult, with an important govt job.

The posts weren't "stupid." They were hatefully racist.

His life isn't "ruined." He lost a job.

Holding a govt employee accountable is not a "reward" for a journalist. The reporter doesn't get a cookie.

ust reviewed the coverage of Carl Nichols' decision enjoining Trump's shutdown of USAID. Only Politico (and my own post) note that Nichols specifically said that DOJ presented no evidence of fraud or corruption.

EVERY OUTLET should emphasize this.

I heard @hcrichardson.bsky.social refer to DOGE as “doggy” and I think that’s good messaging.

Immediately infantilizes the man boys in charge of it and reinforces the frame that they are not legitimate.
