This is what I was rockin' on Saturn. Membrane joystick, but I was a kid so I thought, "Nah, it's not the controller. I just need to git gud...."

I bought mine before Combo Breaker '23. I didn't want to carry a fight stick through airport security and I've never gotten the hang of attack buttons on bumpers/triggers. Saturn had the best gamepad, Dreamcast had the best official fight stick. 8bitdo's M30 is fantastic too.

Doing a pig call should be adopted by those who don't have a whistle handy.

The collection of strips would be called Cash Marone: The Latter Years, as it would only deal with the run of strips leading to its eventual cancellation. The chain-smoking artist would end up selling aluminum siding and die of a heart attack a few years later.

The introduction to the collection, written by an equally fictional colleague, would note: "[The artist] had already proven he wasn't adverse to change; in the 50s he had Cash trade in his trademark Tommy gun for an Uzi and swapped out his sedan for a motorcycle, perhaps influenced by The Wild One."

I still jot down notes about the fictional artist's biography. He trained as a technical illustrator, fell into newspaper strips, and created a character, Cash Marone, who was popular in the 50s. Initially he found the work beneath him, but had a change of heart as the strip's popularity waned.

I need the full context... is this the one where it's raining and there's a hole in the roof so he extends an umbrella through it?

I've been putting on double features for my friends for years. Night of the Comet combined with Night of the Creeps was the absolute biggest hit with my group. They liked it even better than more obvious pairings like Re-Animator and From Beyond.

This one was my favorite as a kid and I still think it has the best cast of all of 'em. I did get a new appreciation for part 4 when I got to see it projected in 35mm a few years ago, though. 3 and 4 are peak Freddy as far as I'm concerned.
