I guess it should be an honor to be on this list, even though they totally get Luddites, GPTs, machine learning, and blockchain wrong. None of these are designed as “assistive” technologies, and none of them give anyone a “voice.”

Ugh. I did not consent to this BS. Anyone know how to tell them to stop this?

Proof that cats like me as much as dogs. These cats usually hate visitors and never warm up to them. They started seeking me out from the first visit.

Xitter continues to prove that certain types hate divorced people even when they can’t refute the actual content of the advice. Bonus points for another homeschooler thinking they know more than anyone different than themselves.

Screenshot of the original tweet since I got blocked. As someone that used to work in an educational research lab, I can assure you the research has found they have pedagogical merit. He just told on himself that he doesn’t know how to use them properly.

My son and I made the viral Tini’s TikTok mac n cheese at my parent’s house today and wow is it so good.

Really hate the framing of this event. Not surprising seeing who it is from. But just such bad pedagogy on display it’s kind of shocking to see who promotes this uncritically.

I know lots of people are tired of hearing about the eclipse today, but it really was so amazing to see in person with my son!

First day of classes and my AI policy is out in the wild. We’ll see if they like it. The last three sentences were what the uni wanted. The third sentence is a bit of a reach, but I don’t trust the courts to protect end users, and a LOT of my students are immigrants that will be even less protected.

Facebook is always pushing their dating service heavily… and I can’t help but notice that the latest re-brand gives off strong Southwest Airlines “no frills so don’t complain about what you get can you just line up already” vibes…

At least the ChatGPT-generated spam I get is keeping me entertained. 😂

Hilarious but not surprising. Alpha males are easily duped if you give them what they want. They never even bothered to know that they are using the concept of alphas wrong.

The state of AI hype today: completely ignoring the real damages AI is causing, (which in turn creates a need for regulation)… and then oversimplifying the issue to make it seem like the “best” option is to leave techbros alone so they can techbro all they want.

Saying that “AI makes people smarter” is a gross misunderstanding of the learning process. In practical application, AI is usually used as an automation process that shortcuts using your brain while offloading tasks. It makes people think less…
