America has only survived as long as it has by playing bully tactics. In a recent interview with Channel 4 news in Britain. Chinese official Victor Gao stating his now trending “We don’t care” statement in reference to the news anchor stating “Well china would be losing out on the American market”. This level of confidence in the production and faith in the manufacturing powers of China is something the U.S. could aspire to. But unfortunately the U.S. was founded on destroying the competition by any means necessary. Which mostly boiled down to extreme forms of violence.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I see myself working in the mental health sector providing quality healthcare to those who look like me. Black and brown folks that are underserved and underrepresented. Gaining a thorough understanding of my mental health has not only cultivated a garden in myself that I would not have otherwise known existed, but it has also allowed for me to develop relationships that I only would have been ready for if I had prepared myself. Mental health is just as important as physical health and I want to give that garden to others as others have given to me.

America Is Not That Advanced Pt 3
Because they chose whiteness over cultural identity. What they refuse to accept that to be American isn’t to be white. Hell there’s literally an entire continent called South America, are they not Americans still? That’s the issue with choosing a racial identity over a cultural identity. White people had nothing to cling onto when they first stepped onto this land. And unfortunately due to their lack of education and lack of knowledge to other aspects of human culture, they were forced to choose their skin color over cultural hegemony. The “American” culture.

Daily writing prompt What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain. View all responses I never have more brain fog than when someone asks me, "Tell me a little bit about yourself." There is something about that question that feels like I have to say the right things, or else I will mess up the interaction. For some odd reason, it is such a nerve-racking experience. Like can I just start with that I like video games and comic books and talk about what I ACTUALLY like. or do I have to give some corporate response lol.

Daily writing prompt What experiences in life helped you grow the most? View all responses The experience of having to move out of my hometown not once but twice has really shaped me into the person I am today. It gave me the space and grace to reinvent myself at my leisure and experiment with who I want to become. I was able to rediscover my blackness in a new way, I got in touch with my inner child, and I even developed mentors that have supported me all throughout my transition into the real world.

I’m sad to learn that my law school classmate, Kiah Duggins, died in the DC plane crash last night.

Kiah was an exceptionally talented civil rights lawyer and aspiring legal scholar.

I hope you’ll read about her work and the causes she cared about, some of which I’ll 🧵 below.

What an immense loss

I’m not a lawyer and I don’t give out legal advice, but I’d rather throw my legs up over my head and scrape the backs of my thighs with a cheese grater than accept a deferred resignation offer from these unfuckable douchelords.

Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last.

Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service.
