Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I see myself working in the mental health sector providing quality healthcare to those who look like me. Black and brown folks that are underserved and underrepresented. Gaining a thorough understanding of my mental health has not only cultivated a garden in myself that I would not have otherwise known existed, but it has also allowed for me to develop relationships that I only would have been ready for if I had prepared myself. Mental health is just as important as physical health and I want to give that garden to others as others have given to me.

And unfortunately due to their lack of education and lack of knowledge to other aspects of human culture, they were forced to choose their skin color over cultural hegemony. The “American” culture.

It gave me the space and grace to reinvent myself at my leisure and experiment with who I want to become.
