one hazard of joining bluesky is building your follow list from scratch. if someone you don't recognize says something you like, you gotta scour the rest of their TL to make sure you don't accidentally cross over into the neoliberal bubble

I have three kids I'm scared to death are going to inherit a nightmare, but when I'm not working I'm spending the rest of my time raising them. Makes me feel guilty & lazy, only doing social media activism and contributing monetarily where I can. But parenthood is physically & emotionally exhausting
Another thing I keep thinking about: by the numbers, millennials object to Trump more than any other age cohort. But we’re also the generation most heavily engaged in the raising of young kids right now, an activity that is functionally (if not ideologically) deradicalizing.
