Sounds like you're making the right call.

Documenting the aftermath is just as important as documenting the hostility. We should never forget the what was left in their wake and I appreciate that you're there to capture it.

Makes sense. I have yet to encounter too many situations where I felt a need for a macro for the LF. On the rare occasion I'd want one for a shot, what I have will be more than fine for all the reasons you mentioned. It's very nice to have that flexibility in one system.

That's true, though I've heard that macro-specific lenses for LF are something pretty special to use and I can't recall why that was. That said, the macro I'd like to get would be for the Hasselblad.

I'll still likely end up prioritizing the 300mm for the 4x5 though

That sounds like a great set up. I found I just want what I wish I had on my most recent shoots. An ultra wide for the large format at this location would have been super cool. Before that I was shooting close ups and details of forest walls. I do think I'll end up with the longer 300mm LF lens :)
