Photographer in the PNW shooting 35mm, 120, and 4x5 film. I also shoot some digital. Hiker, artist, guitarist, 🌈 ally, and let me be perfectly clear, fuck ICE.

Protect our public lands.
Later I'll be writing about a disastrous developing experience with my 4x5 film from the coast. That said, there's a little redemption here and there, and I will never get tired of cropping in to see the details on a 4x5 scan.

A tight crop from bigger image that I like quite a bit.

Back out heeeere

Two weeks ago I wanted a 300mm, a week ago I wanted a macro, now I want an ultra wide.

Heceta Lighthouse on this incredibly stunning day. Just a cell phone shot for now but best believe I brought gear with me.

Here's my first print off a medium format negative. 7"x7" on @ilfordphoto.com RC pearl paper

And if you thought I was done developing blank shit, you were wrong. I'll develop empty film and turn it into an empty neg, I'll absolutely flavor-blast photo paper in the dark room - if you want optimum use of negative space hit me up

Some quick scans of this week's prints from #35mm negs.

I think a mix of tri-x and hp5.

Pay no attention to the borders, I'm still figuring out how easels work.

Printed on @ilfordphoto.com RC 5x7 pearl paper

#believeinfilm friends - send positive vibes as I attempt to print from the thickest, densest, probably over-developed #510pyro neg imaginable.

Two failed attempts so far using reasonable exposure times but I'm not leaving until I have a print to share.

Last one for the day. Bit rushed, bit sloppy, between two negs I may have chosen the wrong one, but I'll get this print dialed in for sure.

I've recently discovered I really like pointing Portra 800 at details along forest walls on overcast days.

I've been saving up toward a 300mm lens for my 4x5 but now I'm thinking I may go for a Hassy 120mm macro and get real into this little scene...scene.

Scanning some 10+ish year expired E100 with a few really interesting results. Nothing masterfully shot, but why 16:9 you ask? The sky went absolutely nuclear. I metered with slide film in mind, but this roll had dynamic range tighter than a snare drum.

My app that helps time development crashed so I had to guess on development time. Lesson learned, I guess.

Pretty sure I ended up deep-frying 3 rolls in #510pyro this week.

Also my lightroom film catalog got irrecoverably corrupted??

Might just move into the forest

No real subject in this shot but I really enjoyed this scene as a whole. Lots going on, lots to look at and appreciate. Cool bits of light and texture. I'm into it.

Ilford Delta 100 through and one long-ass exposure that probably still wasn't enough
