Life is an act of narrative will. Often it is an act of own will against the narratives of our family, the editing that they try to impose to align it with their own mythology. How often do we long for a blank page where we can write ourselves and be the reader seeing ourself in the words.

Only learned of this snippet of green knight lore today (thanks to @ghostmonk.bsky.social), a few miles from my childhood home: bsky.app/profile/theg...
The phantom of a knight in green armour has been seen at Pitchford Hall, #Shropshire, perhaps the remnant of a forgotten #legend. The sad #ghost of a servant who drowned himself in a pond has also been reported and a strange but happier one: the aroma of pipe tobacco associated with a former owner.
