Absent of a rebate, I guess. It's likely more people think about where to be efficient based on a number of factors influenced by the carbon tax.

Yes. Your prior post mischaracterizes the effect. e.g. if population increase leads to more cars, but Ctax has an influence on electric/hybrid adoption, it's a success even though total emissions would still have increased.

Nope. We cut emissions for our business as it stood, and also reduced emissions caused by growth.

Yes / no. We replaced our biggest gas using device to increase production (so overall we are using more gas) but when choosing the new equipment we changed manufacturers so gas usage increased less than production. Efficiency is the main driver, but the carbon tax put a finger on the scale.

I also run a small business (Ontario ). Product arrives on trucks, we use gas in manufacturing and for heating. The carbon tax works out to $900 per $1M in sales. We have made no price changes, and its elimination would allow no meaningful business changes.
