At first I thought it was embarrassing for @macworld.com to post conflicting headlines on the same day,
but then I realized the issue is that @newsfromgoogle.bsky.social positions #rumors as a subcategory of #news.

It’s not bad #UX or design, just a semantic design flaw that’s ethically dubious.

As a webmaster I crashed a Gazette hosted newspaper forum for editors and publishers from various publications around New England to get a wider perspective as I build out a new #CMS.

Big takeaway for me was the noticed misunderstand of the value of media literacy for readers AND content creators.

Here’s a page that pools all of the newspapers #Jaws stories, and ties in other sister publications.
I included a list of Jaws events, a Jaws promotional product, and a new Google #Ad location that can be used for other promotional pages across the website.

Martha’s Vineyard tide chart via NOAA

I write a Shell script that downloads #tide information from Newport and Boston from NOAA, and then convert it to local #marthasvineyard times using a #PHP script.

That also converts it to a table we use in the #newspaper.
Here’s next week’s tide chart as it appears in ink.

Took me forever clicking 'up' on #ChatGPT email verification page to get to the code they sent me.

Kidding.
But I did discover that browsers put "number input spinner" in number inputs by default. Feel like that's new - Haven't seen it till now.
