The BBC‘s Nick Robinson apparently believes Gibb is the insider behind the Farage/Trump/Telegraph plot to crush serious news making at the BBC. The goal imho is to drive the broadcaster still further to the right in time for 2029

BBC editors and political correspondents often come from elite educational and social backgrounds. They align more with conservative or centrist-establishment worldviews than with working-class or left-wing perspectives. What the BBC regards as “reasonable” debate is thus often skewed to the right
