I’m sorry, that’s not the intention of my comment. I should’ve clarified that there is a difference between those separated by government policy and various circumstances and those that have family lore of being “Cherokee”. Trying to connect with your culture is a legitimate Indigenous experience.

It’s always the people whose “grandfather was Cherokee”. Like if you didn’t grow up in the culture you probably shouldn’t be building a career around it. Everyone like that should be more like Cher, quietly possibly indigenous.

I ended up using a pound more potatoes than the recipe called for and it seemed perfect. So I think the ratio is a tad off

I was thinking $2.5B isn’t bad for a rail line considering Ontario Line is estimated at something like $35B. But then I realized that’s $250M per km and that just seems insane.

I have my home set up with Google Home, which is in itself problematic spyware, but they’ve announced they’re slowly transitioning it all to Gemini. I don’t know what to do. How do I doorbell? Do I get analog timer plugs?

It’s increasingly feeling like the TTC is deliberately making streetcar service bad.

Oh no this was not supposed to be a gotcha. I was agreeing. A lot of the examples on Merriam-Webster have been trash publications doing this very thing that NYT is doing. It’s affected Merriam-Webster’s definition
