This year I've been really into reading horror...partly because I love it and partly to get inspiration for a future novel project I have in mind. THE HUNGER is a supernatural reimagining of the Donner Party tragedy. Completely terrifying, fantastic, and leaves lots to discuss!

My employer (Emissions Reduction Alberta) is launching a $50M challenge to cleanup oilsands tailings. There is an excellent graphic novel called DUCKS that touches on tailings - but bear in mind it takes place 20 years ago and things have evolved. I wrote a goodreads review about it.. link in bio.

when one is very ill...binge watching supernatural while making a Sakura densha book nook seems appropriate. also holy moly these things are difficult. progress so far after a full day of working on it...

in Zurich! A good friend of mine lives here and I was lucky enough to score a visit after a work travel kerfuffle. Beautiful clean city with a waterfront and view of the alps plus endless chocolate. 🍫🇨🇭🚞💕
