What we’ve done to children throughout the COVID pandemic is unforgiveable.

Constantly downplaying, minimizing and refusing to acknowledge the risks the virus poses.

We could have had clean air in schools. We could have educated kids about respirators

How many have debilitating Long Covid now?

You can't resist oppression without use of your body. You can't resist oppression without use of your brain. Long covid steals both, and you are always one infection away from becoming a long hauler. If you value your freedom and ability to fight back, you have to mask up.

Don’t underestimate the impact you’re making when you choose to wear a mask.

You’re protecting your health & the health of your community. You’re helping ease the burden on our healthcare system.

You’re standing in solidarity with disabled people & telling the government that no one is expendable

Anybody sharing their thoughts today who doesn't mask or center disability justice + marginalized voices isn't serious about any future where anyone might exist who isn't privileged enough to have their health, so don't listen to them.
Find a mask bloc near you + mutual aid groups, get involved.

Many of us in the covid-conscious community are asking ourselves what—short of many more deaths—will make people mask up again. I think one piece of the puzzle is fashion. People see masks as clinical and medical, not chic. I’m not less stylish for masking. My mask is part of my style.
