Br. Abraham - monk of St. Gregory's Abbey (a Benedictine monastery in the Episcopal Church) - I love Jesus and all of you. I have fun with IndyCar, the Silmarillion, the Fantastic Four, and the B52s
He does indeed have a lust for life.

God wins. Fear, greed ,and war are gone. Lots of blood, but the only mention of anyone bleeding is the Lamb (cleansing everything with his own blood.) People get hurt, but only if they keep clinging to the greed that is being erased. In the end, the gates to heaven are never shut.⚓

⚓He is an oblate of our monastery. "Br. Odo" is his oblate name, and yes, he is a Star Trek fan - Odo Ital is the chief of security on Deep Space Nine. Odo is also the name of one of the abbots of Cluny. It all comes together if we worked at it hard enough.

⚓ We are praying for everyone at the convention. One of our monks is there just to say hello from us. We love our diocese.

From an observer's point of view, the racing at IMS has always been good (at least for IndyCars.) If the new tires make it even better, I'm all for that.

Grace Slick is a genius. Unfortunately, she is a danger to everyone in her vicinity (including herself.)

That would be most monks I know.

⚓We are in church seven times a day. We do it for the the entire world, so don't feel bad when you can't make it: we've got you covered. It's a "Body of Christ" thing - everyone does their part and it all works together.

I really like Sr. Ellen Francis. I see her every other month on a CAROA ZOOM meeting for monastic formators. She always has wise things to add to the discussion.

Yosef. He joined the community August 1, and is fitting in well.

I hope they both do well on their new teams.

I have never thought about this. Thank you for bringing it up - something to ponder. ⚓

I am not too worried about the end times. In fact, I feel fine, but I'd like to have some time alone (away from all the birds, snakes, and aeroplanes.) ⚓

Abba Moses is a fan favorite of the monks here (and probably at most monasteries.) ⚓
