Switzerland has 175 athletes in the winter Olympics this year, super cool! They're like your very winter outdoorsy friend that famously just can't decide which side to pick when it comes to WWII. Everyone has one?

Mmmmm. Thanks realistic! crates.io/crates/reali...

putting together a calculator grammar/evaluator demo and it feels nice to know that 1.1 + 1.3 = 2.4 instead of 2.400000004

delicious. It's never fun to explain to someone why doing. (what seems) like. basic. math. is so hard.

Afaict the rust binder implementation could have like 15 more CVEs, or maybe 715 and it would still be a humongous win over the C impl... which for all practical purposes had crystallized into one of those beautiful C fractals no one can confidently modify.

Open evidence thinks blood letting is a good idea and it's recommending an Amazon link for a do it yourself leech farm. I think it's worth a shot.
I heard someone say, "... it's almost like we should switch to Make because Claude keeps recommending it." I can still feel the hot sensation of an emetic response.

Dear Programmers.
We can solve the grandparent scam:
- Create an app,
- That grandparents can download,
- That allows for the exchange of at least voice and text,
- That isn't also a vector for spam (unlike cell/sms/email).
I'm at a loss to explain why it's impossible, in 2025, with cryptography.

I'm traveling with a laptop. I think all of the clothes on me are worth more than this laptop. I use it to connect to more powerful machines that I would never want to travel with. I'm in my happy place.

I used Claude to help me parse some dumb file format and I regret it so much. The weird assumptions baked in, in addition to the assumption that a byte is equal to a character, has me wishing I'd just bitten the dumb bullet and done a menial task. Claude only handles my JSON serialization now.
