Hiking like crazy locally, spent summer mostly home tending the garden, out to Marrowstone Island for several days recently and off to the Astoria area soon for hiking and crabbing. Visited son in CO Springs in March and hiked Garden of the Gods, Red Rock and Paint Mines. Good to hear from you.

As they say, fed wildlife is dead wildlife. I know of two incidents of national park concession employees feeding critters, a fox at Rainer and a cougar at Olympic. The fox got hit by a car near the lodge, the cougar was put down after it started getting into folks' food at a nearby campground.
