The U.S. government is not a meme.
The difference is we expect Republicans to fuck over poor people, and we expect Democrats to fight for them. We don’t expect Democrats to shrug and say, “Well, the poor people were fucked anyway, but at least I got some shuteye.”

Kirk has also quoted scripture on the stoning of such "abominations," and has called that scripture perfect law. It doesn't take a leap of bad faith to infer that he supports the eradication of gays, even if he did it with a microphone instead of a pitchfork.

I respect you, but this is the kind of sophistry that society's fringes use to sanewash Kirk's ideas for the masses. Kirk told audiences that gays were not content to enjoy marital rights and wanted to "corrupt your children."

It's real. Under DOGE, SSA has been trying to control the messaging for controversial changes, releasing information to the public in small chunks (or not at all). They've failed, thanks to whistleblowing and media reporting. When info gets out before they're prepared, they lie.

You should celebrate by holding a press conference, saying some words, and slinking back to your corner.

But wait... there's MORE! If you're one of the first 194 countries to make a deal, we'll throw in Trump Friends & Family Golden Visas for the low, low price of $99.99 (plus $4.9999M S&H).

Trump quickly brought down the price of [nest] eggs. Promises kept?

I hear you, but how the businesses respond to Trump's attempts to destabilize them matters, especially when those businesses are among the best-equipped to fight back against autocracy. Powerful people who roll over when society needs them most don't deserve our support.

Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

Make virulently racist posts… Hell, wear a white hood to a hearing if the mood strikes. But don’t EVER commingle client funds.

According to the legal doctrine of "What If Biden Had Done It," they now have no choice but to convene a circular firing squad and give each other really fun nicknames, like Perjurin' Pete and Slow Waltz.

"My view is, I'd like to get more Republican judges on the bench. If we take away seats, we can't do that." - Josh Hawley, R-MO (last seen egging on 1/6 rioters before fleeing)

If he shaves, sucks in those cheeks, and uses an extra dollop of pomade, he could pass for Matt Gaetz.

An important point that often goes unchecked when the media reports Trump's claims that he's enforcing "the will of the people." There can't be an electoral mandate to follow a Project 2025 blueprint that Trump insisted he had "nothing to do with" during his campaign.

How can I take him seriously? He's not even wearing glasses on the tip of his nose in that still shot.

But there's a perfectly logical Muskplanation for this: <reads cue card> "We're just going after fraud, waste, and abuse."

Nah, under a strict originalist interpretation, the Founding Fathers had Citizens United v. FEC in mind when they drafted the Constitution.

Isn't the judge entitled to in-camera review of natsec info (even if that review ultimately results in a rubber stamp after Trump v. Hawaii)?
