Rhode Island’s veterans represent the very best of our state.

Our Veterans Café 2.0 is one way we’re supporting those who served—providing healthy meals, community connection and access to benefits and services. Thank you to the RI Office of Veterans Services and all who make this possible.

We’re not only creating new housing—we’re also protecting and maintaining the homes that already exist. Through our $120 million housing bond, we’re launching a $6 million Statewide Home Repair Program to help make that possible.

Rhode Island, meet Patrick Daniel McKee!

Susan and I are overjoyed to welcome our first grandson, born on November 6. Our heartfelt thanks to the incredible team at Women & Infants. Mom and baby are doing great, and Mabel James is very excited to be a big sister.

Rhode Island is proud to be one of only six states in the nation to earn Gold Certification from Results For America for leadership in evidence-based policymaking. We’re using data to drive results and deliver better outcomes for Rhode Islanders.

President Trump is playing games. We’re doing everything we can to keep families fed.
November 9, 2025 at 10:14 PM
The Trump Administration continues to fight its SNAP funding obligation in the courts, creating uncertainty for families who rely on this support.

We’re actively working on contingency plans for further action from the courts or the Trump Administration related to Nov. benefits.
November 9, 2025 at 12:38 AM
We're moving forward to access full federal SNAP benefits for November.

While President Trump has actively made it harder for Rhode Islanders to feed their families, we're focussed on doing the right thing.

Roger Williams and Fatima hospitals are vital to Rhode Island’s health care system. We’re focused on keeping them open and serving their communities.

WIC provides vital nutrition for women, infants, and children. With federal funding set to run out mid-November, I’ve taken action to keep this essential support in place for Rhode Island families through the end of the month.

Rhode Islanders shouldn’t have to choose between paying their bills and keeping their health care. But that’s exactly what will happen if Congressional Republicans let key ACA tax credits expire. Their inaction means higher costs and fewer families covered.

It’s Halloween, but this is no trick.

This is real—President Trump is still sitting on billions in SNAP contingency funds while millions of Americans get closer to going hungry as November 1 approaches.

We’re committed to keeping Rhode Islanders safe, especially those experiencing homelessness during the coldest months.

Today, we launched the next phase of our winter response plan, expanding shelter capacity and other support through partnerships with providers and communities.

I’m joining governors across the U.S. to call on President Trump to act immediately to prevent a disruption in SNAP on November 1.

Millions of families rely on this program to put food on the table. It’s not optional, it’s essential and we won't stand by while people go hungry.

In Rhode Island, if you want a flu or COVID vaccine, you can get one. We’ve taken action to ensure President Trump and RFK Jr. won’t stand between Rhode Islanders and the care that keeps us healthy.

President Trump is still sitting on billions of dollars in SNAP contingency funds while families worry about putting food on the table. There’s no defending that.
October 29, 2025 at 7:31 PM
President Trump’s refusal to release SNAP benefits is cruel and inexcusable.

I’m directing $6M to families with children, deploying $200K to food pantries and mobilizing partners. RI won’t stand by while our neighbors go hungry—we’re continuing to pursue options to protect them.

We’re putting Rhode Island’s $120M housing bond to work.

New programs are opening to build more homes and make housing more affordable for Rhode Islanders.

NEW: Rhode Island welcomed a record 29.4M visitors in 2024—a 3.5% increase that generated $6B in spending and supported over 88K jobs. Our strategic investments in tourism are paying off. Rhode Island is truly #AllThatRI.
