Safety update: The truck ban has been lifted.

RIDOT crews have cleared major highways but local roads may still be icy. Please drive carefully and stay clear of plows and limit travel.

⚠️ I’m issuing a truck travel ban on state roads starting Sunday 1/25 at 12 PM until further notice.

This includes tractor-trailers, tankers, special permitted vehicles, RVs, box trucks, vehicles with trailers and, tandems.

All emergency pop-up shelters are activated to provide a warm, safe place for anyone in need. These sites are operating in addition to our seasonal and year-round shelters and warming centers.
