The Chinese Ghost Story series was one of the major series out of the Hong Kong New Wave (1979-2002), specifically the "Second Wave". It's been needing a good American release for ages.

Probably the least known category of Hong Kong films is the Gamblers and Gangster films. Shout Factory's recent release looks to change that.

Another subset of Hong Kong films was/is the girls and guns (and kung fu). Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Rothrock famously did some of these, and there were series with less famous actresses. They contributed to the Charlie's Angels films, with their combination of action and comedy.
