I thought it was great. I'd like to read more by Alan Garner. I enjoyed how much was left to the reader to put together. Brilliant characters and setting. We shall talk of this over beer!

Christ. I once pointed out he didn't write well rounded female characters and the backlash I received from fans was substantial. I guess now I know why he wrote that way.
