I'm pretty awful when it comes to formal wear. Today I have had to rapidly turn up a pair of trousers because of my short legs and failed to buy any shoes because of my giant feet. I fear the only place that might accommodate my requirements is Hobbiton 🤦♀️

I visited Brighton today. A shipping container accident (www.bbc.com/news/article...) meant the pebble beaches have an onion tide mark spanning as far as we could see. Lots of volunteers were mucking in to clean them up. Maybe avoid any cheap onion soup offers in Brighton for a while 🌰🧅

I loved "The Road". I couldn't put it down and ended up reading it in one day which is unusual for my attention span! I shall be seeking out more Cormac McCarthy when I'm allowed to buy books again 😅

A friend of mine is not very well. He has very kindly given me his Terry Pratchett novels and a few other book series we have a common affection for. I'm very grateful. When I miss him, I will be able to read one of the books he loved. It is a bitter sweet feeling.

I don't think I like the X-Files generally speaking, but my love of Scully (a medical doctor) has gotten me to season 6 somehow. I will say the episodes written by or with greater involvement by Darin Morgan are phenomenal television. I only noticed because I made a list of my favourites 😅

Day 2 two of waiting for the RAC. My car's coolant leak (unrelated to breakdown) got worse overnight and made a nice red puddle. The RAC info tracker has stopped working and claims I will be saved in the past. My sister and her boyfriend are coming to stay with me and I'm not home 🥶🚗👍
