So, let's go back to subsidizing the dissemination of information as a service. No opinions given to us, just the bare facts. Punditry and analysis can be pay for. I like the ala-carte model we have now with Krugman, Reich, Richardson, etc. We pay for who we love and skim the free articles.

Following this up, I'm remembering my lessons from uni covering the Stoics, who did not believe in letting emotions drive them at all. While I think they may or may not have taken things to extremes, being more in control of our emotions is something we can take from them. 2/2

I'm hoping a lot more people feel as I do. I'm resolving to watch less and go to more live theatre and read more books. I'm not chuffed about giving mega monopolies my money in return for less diverse stories.
