Why do companies do this nonsense????

Another example of Starmer choosing the worst possible option!

Why does Starmer keep choosing the worst option, and hiding the few good decisions his ministers manage to sneak through under an avalanche of bad ones?

many landlords like that.

I hope you manage to get your flats fitted with heat pumps soon though!

I think a major hurdle for tenants can be landlords - I'm sure that hurdle doesn't apply in you and your tenants, but it certainly does for many other tenants. My landlord can barely be convinced to fix leaks that are actively causing more damage to the property, and unfortunately there are

Yes, finally, this month:

(Sadly wouldn't apply to alreadly all-electric flats - where a lot of the poorest households are tenants, with the highest bills/least comfort...)
Discounts for families to keep warm in winter and cool in summer
Boiler Upgrade Scheme has been expanded to include air-to-air heat pumps and heat batteries giving families more choice in how they upgrade their home.

They excluded flats with resistive electric heating???

That's an insane decision - converting resistive electric heating to more efficient heat pumps is great - lower energy use, and freeing up space on the grid for other users. Why on earth would they exclude that?

I had not realised air-to-air had been added to the boiler upgrade scheme, but that is a very good step!

*though as you point out with your link, affordable air-to-air heatpumps are increasingly available

For example, dehumidifiers do not require any changes to the home so are an option for renters, unlinke heat pumps.

A good dehumidifier costs in the range of £100-£200, and can be picked up today, so may be accessible to people who don't have the money for a heat pump plus installation*

Heat pumps are amazing for heating, and having the option to cool is unfortunately increasingly necesary, so I am fully on board with heat pumps, including air-to-air.
However, for battling mould and excessive humidity compressor/heat pump dehumidifiers are often a better or only available option.

Or you know, run a (compressor-based) dehumidifier when you're drying laundry!

I lived in Scotland for about a year - and the thing that struck me was how government services seemed to work somewhat better than in England (and way better than in NI). For example, I could actually get a GP appointment.

Paying a little extra tax for that is, in my view, worth it.

What is this from?

The headline doesn't even make sense? What are they even alleging labour has done to pubs? I have seen no chance in pubs in my area since the election, so what are they even on about?

By choosing these alternatives, travellers lead by example, showing that sustainable options are viable.
Individual actions may seem small, but they push systemic change in travel industries.
