“Pregnancy is the best way to protect one against another pregnancy. However, this protection also wanes over time. Usually by 9 months.”

And this fragment.
Paraphrasing:
“Hybrid immunity” 💪
If from recent infection then 💪💪

Without mentioning cumulative harm and cumulative risk from multiple infections, increased susceptibility to other pathogens post SARS2 infection, harms of co-infections.

Also this.
It reads as a claim that SARS-CoV-2 will become seasonal if we only give it some more years.
Like, with more years we will be able to estimate seasonality 🤨

There are limits. Incorrect statements should be publicly retracted, corrected and apologized for.

“Immunity gap from ‘lockdowns’ for measles” is an egregiously incorrect narrative.

1. M. was eliminated in 🇨🇦since 1998
2. Population immunity against measles in <60 y/o comes vastly from vax.

NPIs' unintended consequences:

Elimination or eradication of some common respiratory viruses

✅Eliminated for ~1.5 year: Parainfluenza, Comm. coronaviruses, RSV
✅Eliminated for ~❗2 years❗: hMPV, Influenza❗️
✅Eradicated (most likely): Flu B Yamagata strain

H2H transmission of Flu had been 🛑. For 2 y

We tried. And even with way way suboptimal masks it worked against flu. NPIs stopped flu for nearly 2 years.
And human Metapneumovirus (hMPV). And for 1.5 years it stopped Parainfluenza, common coronaviruses, and RSV.
And most likely eradicated Flu B Yamagata strain.
Against Flu it worked 💯

Human to human transmission of influenza was stopped for nearly 2 years.
And one strain, B Yamagata, seems to be even completely eradicated.

RSV data this year so far
Babies ICU admission rate 104.5
> 2x higher than COVID yearly❗
Hosp. rate 781.5

Given that kids first infected when they are >1 year old have *much much* better health outcomes then if first infected <1 y/o, we should do all we can to protect babies from RSV infection
😷😷😷

COVID horribly harms babies.

In AB babies have the highest ICU admission rate among all age groups.
And as high hospital admission rate as 70-79 years old age group.

We can protect babies by preventing infecting them, their caregivers and siblings:
✅ clean air and respirator-mask requirements

You are not missing anything
COVID horribly harms babies
This year data are on track with the last year data
In 2023/24 COVID landed 229 babies in hospital in Alberta, 470.4 per 100K,
👉one COVID hospitalization per 213 babies👈!
Also: COVID kills kids (in 20' we've been told that it'll NEVER do that)
