Happy New Year! I find myself contemplative right now. I just finished watching another vtuber graduate who had started long after me and ended long before me. They also saw a lot more success than me but that is so often the way of it. I suppose I just find it surreal that so many end this journey.

For the last stream of the year I managed to beat the Diablo 4 base game campaign. I finally did it, after 40 hours and 50 minutes it is over! Now I just have the expansion campaign... and eventually the expansion campaign after that one... definitely doing Necro for one of them. Probably.

I am really burning out on Diablo 4. I'm trying so hard to finish it, I'm trying so hard, but being stuck unable to up the difficulty for like 3 acts while one shotting everything is getting really boring and draining really fast. I just want to be dooooone.

I got to socialize so much today, I feel quite satisfied. Also got to play Nightreign with TWO friends. At the SAME TIME! Amazing. We stomped every boss we attempted. Well maybe not stomped but we won. I needed this, I really did. This was a really solid good day for me today. Now I can do whatever.

Not sure if Diablo 4 has a memory leak or what but it consistently causes problems for my stream the longer I go. Have to close and re-open the game every few 2-3 hours. I kind of just want to finish it so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

So I've been debating whether to hop in on the PoE2 or D4 season. Also not sure whether to resurrect my World's Laziest Necromancer build in each arpg to see how they all handle necro differently or to try a different class in each one. Leaning towards diff class though. I don't know, we'll see.

The third party controllers did in fact suck for fighting games. Fine for everything else though but yeah, time to return them and reluctantly get an overpriced ps4 controller again.

After all these years my original PS4 controller finally gave up the ghost. It won't charge anymore. Rest well my sweet little thing, you served me well for over a decade. Time to experiment with some cheap third parties and hope they don't suck. Especially for fighting games, please be good.

Something I was once told was, "Perfect is the enemy of good." I don't think about that nearly enough. I want my streams to be as good as they can possibly be and I think in overthinking that so much, I rob myself and my audience of plenty of enjoyable streams. I need to worry less and stream more.

I'm trying really hard to like Arc Raiders since all my friends play it and it's apparently a phenomenon but I just don't. I don't think pvpve extraction shooters are for me. I'll give it a few more chances but I really don't see my opinion changing unless I'm drastically misunderstanding the game.

Welp I just received my first Halloween scare. Apparently Outward Definitive Edition does not have cloud saves. That is really unfortunate.

Sadly I don't think I'll ever play Silksong. As time passes I find my desire to play punishing games diminishes. I don't mind difficulty itself, I love the Souls games and Elden Ring, but it depends on how that difficulty is implemented. + I value my time a lot more than I did when I was a teenager.

I never know what to say on here so I usually just ramble about random nonsense. I try to walk a delicate line because I know people come to vtubers to get away from the real for awhile. It's a funny inversion of my public life where my hobbies are too niche to discuss. I feel like I'm split in half

Been thinking about Darktide again which got me thinking about Vermintide. I don't like Vermintide 2. The gameplay is alright, I prefer Darktide's, but I had a similar issue that I did with HD2 where I got kicked a lot when trying to play on newbie difficulties. So I gave up and played with bots.

It's finally the weekend and I can't sleep.
After many years since I last played it, I decided to load up Terraria and check out all the new changes. It turns out the cloud did not save my 200+ hour character and world. So that's... that sucks. On the bright side it gives me an excuse to stream it from scratch at some point, so there's that.

I played around with Veteran on Darktide post-VOC nerf and goodness do I feel it. I still have no opinion on if it was a good or bad change but I am struggling a lot more than before. Then again the event going on right now is pretty hard so it may be a bit of both.

I'm gonna ramble about a game I haven't thought about in years: Tales of Maj'Eyal. I have a massive love/hate relationship with that game. I don't know if I love it or hate it, I can't decide. In the end a progression blocking bug that I couldn't get help for on the discord caused me to refund it.

Am I on the wrong side of history for liking Darktide as much as I do? I mean I know it's got problems but I paid like $20 for it and have over 200 hours in it. But I look at the reviews and see mixed and I just wonder.

Darktide nerfed my favorite ability. I'm not saying it shouldn't have been, I'm just sad. Frankly I'm not advanced enough at the game to say if it was a good idea or not. I'll have to get on when I have a chance and test out the change, see how I feel about it. Worst case, play a different class.

Bought Necesse and Core Keeper today. That's a lot of game for less than 20. They're also like 1gb combined. Not sure if they would be worthwhile to stream or not though. I'm sure they're super fun, just not sure how interesting they would be to watch. But if I'm gonna play it anyway, couldn't hurt.

In Darktide I hopped back on veteran for the first time since the talent rework. Whole team died except me and I managed to clutch it out and revive all of them, leading to a successful mission. That was so hype, I wish I had been streaming. Ah well. Felt pretty good. Stressful but good. Love it.

Dang I really picked a good time to get out of Helldivers huh? It is exploding across my social media feeds for everything from even worse performance issues to content creators quitting to supposedly bricking people's PCs? Welp, that's not getting reinstalled anytime soon.

I got my psyker to max level in Darktide, that gives me a max level everything except ogryn (sorry ogryn). Now I just need to get some good curios and I should be all set. Nothing left to do but practice and get better at the game.

Today I am grateful for my friends. I had a hard day today and they were there for me. I don't think they know they were there or that I was struggling but they really helped me. So I'm practicing gratitude and focusing on the positive. And as a result I do genuinely feel better.
