Steven Wright: If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
It’s not that he thinks he will succeed, he thinks the BBC will settle like ABC and Paramount did in the US

Peter Mandelson is also free. Maybe he could be in charge of BBC News?

EVs have vehicle exercise duty just like fossil fuel cars and at the same rate for new cars.

As an aside road tax was abolished in 1937.

They want people to move to electric cars but are going to make them more expensive to run than petrol or diesel cars (they are already close in cost if you have rely on public charging).

Also how on earth are they going to enforce this? Add tracking devices to cars? A guaranteed vote loser!

The only question I have is why the BYD Seagull has so many names (Dolphin Mini, Dolphin Surf and now the Atto 1). Still it’s cheap and sure to be popular - seen a few where I live in the UK but that could be because I only live a few miles from a BYD showroom.

So that puts Tesla down 58% from the same month last year (October 2024 UK sales were 971 cars).

It mirrors what we’ve seen from EU countries that have reported so far, with only France fractionally up due to good tax incentives that reduce this month.

It wasn’t a convincing win with Martinez hospital pass gifting Salah for the first goal (it was well finished from a tight angle) while Gravenberch’s goal took a deflection. They still struggle with long balls and Villa hit the woodwork twice. On another day they’d have another loss.

Just one (of many problems) is Chris Wright has never won a Nobel prize - he’s Trump’s energy Secretary and a former fracking executive. This year’s Nobel prize in Physics winners are John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret and John M. Martinis, who did their work in 1984/85.

Not a good start to the day, so hope it improves. Been there and done that so know how unpleasant it is. Switched to a Blunt umbrella as they can’t go inside out. They are rather expensive though but mine is still going strong after 10 years.

You might be right but his lawyers will have do some manoeuvring to get SCOTUS to look at the case as they don’t normally get involved in civil cases unless they relate to federal laws or the constitution. Having said that they’ve managed it in the E. Jean Carroll case.
