Wouldn’t it be funny if the BBC decided to counter sue Trump for saying that they broadcast 100% fake news? I think £50bn sounds about right if we are going to make up damage figures.

The latest budget story is the government are going to remove the boiler upgrade scheme grant for everyone except low income groups. If I had to pay the full price of my heat pump, I’d have stayed with a gas boiler as the cost difference would have been too high to justify.

I see the UK government is pushing ahead with small modular nuclear reactors despite the terrible track record of small modular nuclear reactors. They are expensive, aren’t modular (no standard design) and are less efficient than big reactors. This concept isn’t new and was abandoned decades ago.

So according to the White House, the new Epstein emails are both fake and show that Trump did no wrong. If they are fake they can’t show he did no wrong and if they are true it shows Trump knew of Epstein’s activities and did nothing. I wonder how MAGA supporters will cope with this dichotomy?

The iPod was launched 24 years ago today. In unrelated news the iPod sock is back, though this time as a sling for the iPhone. Have Apple really run out of ideas?

“BBC in fight for survival” scream the headlines. Realistically no political party, with exception of Reform, will get rid of the BBC. Whether it is actually worth saving is a different question.

So BBC DG Tim Davie and CEO of BBC news Deborah Turness have resigned over Trump Panorama episode.

Looks foggy for the Man City game. Can’t imagine it’s much fun playing in bonfire night smoke. #MCIBVB

Why does the BBC website have an article of what a Reform government would look like as aren’t they breaking their own impartiality rules by not doing the same for other parties? Oh, I forgot, they are trying to put them in power.

Scoring two and then getting sent off pretty much sums up how unpredictable Luis Díaz is.

I see tonight’s Liverpool vs Real Madrid game is only on Amazon Prime. Will be giving it a miss then as I try and avoid giving money to Jeff Bezos and his nob shaped rocket programme.

Interesting choice by John Lewis to use Where Love Lives for their Christmas advert. It was written and produced by Swede Lati Kronlund, mixed by Americans David Morales and Frankie Knuckles and sung by Londoner Alison Limerick. I doubt many people are aware that it’s an international collaboration

Today is the first day in nearly a week I haven’t felt tired and generally dreadful. No idea why as only thing that was odd was my blood/oxygen level was low. It is back to normal today so maybe that’s why I feel better. Assume it was a virus of some sort.

It’s difficult to understand how bad Hurricane Melissa will be with 175 mph sustained wind speed and expected rainfall of about 1 metre. To put those numbers in perspective the highest gust in UK was 173 mph at Cairn Gorm in 1986 and the highest rainfall in 24 hours was 32cm at Honister Pass in 2015

I see Sheffield Wednesday have entered administration, which isn’t the biggest surprise as finances have been a mess for months with unpaid wages and example. Also means an automatic 12 point deduction, so will be on -6 points. What a mess.
