Hi Winkie. I think you’ve tried to contact me a couple of times re. my father’s service in Tunisia in 1942 as a paratrooper (Red Beret). He was also in action in Sicily, Italy and Arnhem (where he was very lucky! to be shot through the lung and taken prisoner. I.e. to survive.) He wrote about it in

My father was on Operation Torch as a paratrooper in the 1st Parachute Squadron RE. They got to Gibraltar on about Nov 6 I think, but main assault, starting at Algiers, was on Nov 12. Later he was on major operations in Sicily and Italy, and finally Arnhem, where he was wounded and taken prisoner.
