The more substantial point is that games dona lot of things that other mediums don't because they are unique from other genres. A piece of non-interactive media cannot have multiple endings that change based on my input, so there would be little purpose in designing around multiple endings.

1. Movies absolutely do this. The post-credit scene is an established thing.
2. Games are the only artistic medium that does a lot of things. New Book Plus doesn't exist but that doesn't make it bad to have extra content for a second playthrough in a video game.

Unfortunately I don't know that this solution would really work here. There is only one possible boss per region and interactions with Prometheus in particular have relevance to at least one character's story in the camp.

You could try using the iframes on the dash to go through it. The timing is always the same & I *think* that the cooldown on the dash is short enough to let you to dodge every hit. If not, I think using the arcana with invuln on cast & alternating dash/cast/dash could get you through 3 hits at least

I used it too close to a ledge next to some sand worms once and I ended up taking damage after going underground then resetting back underground inside the worm hitbox so I just died from full hp and came back halfway underneath the bench until I reloaded. Had a good laugh about that.

It helps that I am helplessly in love with the game's world and characters and have been since the first Hollow Knight. If the same thing happened in a game that I had less affinity for I might not have such a good attitude about it haha

This is not to say others are wrong for disliking it, by the way. I just wanted to say that there *are* people who appreciate getting pranked in that way.

I am the person who says 'lol good one' about it.
There is a worse one in the late game. It destroys the bench entirely after what I consider the most punishing platforming section in the game. I was getting frustrated when I reached it but after getting tricked I still couldn't help but laugh.
