I read President’s Men, and the even more dense The Final Days, their follow up book. If I remember, that one covered more of the sordid details, with more coming out as Nixon was leaving.

There was a ton more discovered, but not used in the movie. He was having all sorts of journalists followed, wanted to bomb liberal think tanks, and then all the alleged stuff he had the CIA doing…spreading heroin in the black and hippies communities. An ugly time.

It’s very dense, and really only works if you know this period of Burroughs life. Didn’t stop me from watching 1/2 dozen times trying to figure it out, before know Burroughs at all!
