The best thing we can do is start calling him TACO and making it stick to him the rest of his life. It pretty much sums up who he is ( the bully that always backs down). He hates the name so all the more reason.

As much as I like Bluesky and glad off twitter, I worry that this site is increasingly a pity party and for grievance griping. The next 4 years will be a shit show but understanding and building a new Dem platform can impact 2026. Wish the dialogue was mostly on that. Then this really takes off.

Record travel weekend! Biden economy was strong enough for that to happen but weak enough to elect a President that had failed them in 2020 when they needed him most. Consumers will stop spending during term 2 - MAGA's worse nightmare.

I think there is a deal that allows Musk free rein in return for Trump getting richer - my guess Musk committed to by Truth Social for billions and merge it with X. Otherwise Trump can't sell his shares without taking a bath on them.

The runup to the Civil War had both sides passionate about their slavery positions. In the 2024 election, Trump was passionate that illegals were evil and, with only a luke warm opposing view, Trump's view took hold. A passionate opposing view may have balanced that a bit.

He will get rich, cause pain and fear, and not be held accountable, but Democracy will hold and they will be removed if enough people want that. My bet is they will in 2 years and then 4 because the overplay by the President, Co-President, and team will be way over the top.

US cannot let the "new normal" be that Putin can recruit 10s of 1000s NK soldiers to help win his wars. This would give him unlimited fresh troops to pursue multiple fronts including NATO countries. Only showing strength can stop this new normal. Rs are pathetically weak in not seeing this.

Trump has never been a successful operator and was not tested his first term. His cabinet choices are totally inexperienced. Worse decisions are based on "will people like him?". All this points to spectacular term 2 failures.
