it’s a film whether you only use shakey cam and closeups or not. at least use techniques to convey something more than… whatever it is you are trying to convey by just repeating found footage in every genre

this is also part & parcel of the push over the last 15ish years to make the camera ‘not-present’ & make shots more akin to only grounded shots where character’s eyes could be, but the end result is we lose a lot of mood and feeling and meaning. “realistic” camera work can make things less realistic
