Make no mistake—Gaetz is withdrawing because he doesn’t have the votes and because Senate Republicans were terrified of the backlash they were getting from constituents. A lot of orgs were working hard to make this happen. It’s not the resistance of 2016, but this is already our first major win.

Trump said most of his nominations last time were terrible because he listened to bad advice from RINOs but this time he was going to make the decisions himself and choose only the best people because now he had it all figured out. Doesn’t seem to be going well so far.
