There are moments that require absolute moral clarity and principled application of the rule of law. This is that moment, I too dissent.

Today HJR5 passed the House unanimously. This resolution recognizes the life of Fred T. Korematsu, who selflessly fought against the injustice of Executive Order 9066, which authorized the internment of people of Japanese descent in the United States.

Tonight SB1738 passed the House unanimously and will soon head to the Governor! This bill updates the personal property exemption amounts regarding consumer debt judgment, bringing outdated exemption limits in line with current dollar evaluations. #twill

Thank you to everyone who came out to the transit listening session earlier this week hosted with Leader Gabel and Senator Fine. CMAP presented on the Plan of Action for Regional Transit that focuses on some of the challenges facing our local transit agencies.

AI technology has created a host of new opportunities and innovations, but also dangers. That is why I sponsored and worked hard to pass several pieces of legislation that took effect this year including protecting children and workers from exploitation.
