Almost every morning, the tripod hops up onto the bed and curls up with me, making it difficult to get up and moving. Loving a #caturday long lie with my favorite tripod!

I’ve done what I can, y’all chip in. Every bit helps, and we don’t always need coffee.

Hey, check it out - the party of small government is coming for your brain, your uterus, your 401(k), *and* your mortgage. How efficient.

Don’t you just hate it when the rendition and deportation machine comes for the local college basketball team?

Closer images of the booth for visualizing. Note that there’s a double plenum using foam to support the top with the fan weight. I need to take more photos of the filter setup, but there is a lip to prevent the filter from being pushed into the plenum. The top support piece also helps with this.

Here are the “plans,” which I adjusted a little bit real-time as I built it. The key thing is to visualize the assembly to make sure measurements match up. Anywhere you see “fold”, that’s where I am accounting for the board length needed to fold into a triangle for strength, like the photo below.

Starting a 🧵 with details on my homemade airbrush booth to share. I built mine out of foam core board (aka foam board) using plain old grey duct tape. Anywhere I needed rigidity, I folded the edges into triangles (e.g. front sides and top). #HistScaleModels #ScaleModels @revrachelmann.bsky.social

I made my own using foam board and muffin fans. Opening is large so I can see well, necks down to standard replaceable filter. It vents into room, since I was using acrylics, but I’ve got fittings and ductwork to duct it outside for solvent-based paints. Happy to share sketched “plans”.

Model has been primed! I also painted the prop and spinner. What remains is sanding and rechecking the surface for NMF, maybe some polishing. Tonight’s priming showed that I will have to use acrylics until I can duct the booth outside, smell is too strong otherwise. #TonyTonyTony #HistScaleModels

Wings & empennage attached. Gear painted & drying, that’ll be a later addition. One thing I love about TET is how I can tap the wing root joint and capillary action pulls it in and melts the plastic, making its own filler. If i putty this, I’ll only make it worse. #TonyTonyTony #HistScaleModels
