In addition to this crazy example, I learned (having lived on this earth for 40 years) that the tied is always locked to the moon and the land moves through it.
Three seconds into this clip, a spinning sphere full of fluid stops. But the fluid interior keeps spinning! The flow at the surface develops nice horizontal shear lines and then becomes turbulent. 🧪 🔭
