With Premodern gaining traction and many playable cards spiking (recently ODY Zombie Infestation and ALL Dystopia), I'd keep an eye on Premodern playable cards that are still cheap and part of the Reserved List.
These cards for example see fringe PM play, are on the RL, and are quite cheap rn.

Today I played a 51 people #mtgpremodern tournament with Goblins! I went 5-1 and was 1st in Swiss, but unfortunately I immediately got eliminated in the top 8 😬 Still, it was tons of fun!

Keep an eye on the Uncommons in the coming sets, including ATLA. In recent times, WotC started printing some absolutely crazy cards at Uncommon in Standard sets. Some examples: 1/2

Boomerang Basics is really good. Sorcery is definitely not ideal, but bouncing any permanent for 1 mana is a super solid effect, and you can rebuy a permanent you own with an ETB and also draw a card!
I feel like it's generally worse than Into the Flood Maw, but comparable to it.

My childhood best friend, who lived in my same building, had some of these weird cards. It was the year 2001 or so, and of course at the beginning we were just making the rules up. I remember these two bad boys dominating our early games!

Drafted my Cube for the second time today! Didn't mean to do this, but ended up drafting UW control twice 😅 The first time I splashed red for Saheeli and got to copycat combo people twice 😬 The second time I went pure UW, the deck was sweet but got land screwed twice 🥲

I think Enter the Avatar state is gonna be one of those >1$ uncommons. Just a very solid protection spell in Commander, with evasion and lifegain as the cherries on top.

MKM was a disappointing set under many aspects, but the Mia Boas full art basics are without a doubt some of the prettiest I've ever seen.

So, as I've seen some contrasting claims and ended up a bit confused myself, help me out: As far as I understand, with the proposed hybrid mana rule change for EDH, Shu Yun could helm a Jeskai deck, but be in the 99 of a Jeskai, Azorius or Izzet deck. Is that correct?

This card is very good. It's probably going to be another one of those where people will focus way too much on the 7 mana Blood Moon ability, not seeing that a 2 mana 2/2 Menace that makes nonbasic lands enter tapped is already very strong.
