Interesting read with helpful advice for the network. Something has to change with Morning Joe, especially after their shameful ring-kissing visit. Now more than ever, the media must stand for democracy, not cower before a wannabe authoritarian

Useful info and not only for gov't workers.
If you currently work in the federal government, your most important job may be to eventually become a witness! Figure out now how you would communicate anonymously with journalists like myself. FWIW, my email is phil [dot] williams [at] newschannel5 [dot] com. www.forbes.com/advisor/busi...

In their Oval Office meeting, could President Biden assassinate Trump and get away with murder by claiming it was an official act as POTUS?

Just curious--I've never DMed anyone, here or on the awful place, but I'm wondering about the ubiquitous "NO DMs, please" at the end of nearly eveyone's profile. How come? (And, also, should DMs just be eliminated altogether, if we all reject the concept of DMing so firmly?)

Answer me this: What's to stop him from auctioning off pardons to the J6 convicts? It would piss off the libs, bring in $ to his ever-greedy coffers but most of all, it would be completely LEGAL, according to SCOTUS. It would let him demonstrate the lack of limits on what he can do as official acts.

Have you been boycotting MSNBC since the Joe'n'Mika prostration before Trump? I stopped watching MSNBC after the election (just burnout from too much news and too much worry) but now I'm determined to boycott the entire network as long as they continue to employ such spineless asswipes as J. and M.

Having some difficulty balancing self-care (taking care of non-political priorities, doing maintenance work around the house, cooking, etc.) with remembering (and being re-traumatized by) the political landscape looming over us for the next half-decade or more. Any tips?

Do you ever wonder what would happen if the Elongated Muskmelon (X Luthor) waited for Bluesky to dwarf Twitter and then bid several billion to buy it? And wreck it? I suspect that may be his mastertroll plan.

I wonder which judge traumatized Aileen Cannon when she was a prosecutor by telling her "I don't appreciate your tone."

@jackzillaphoto.bsky.social why can't I open "suggestive content"? I click "OKAY" but nothing appears. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

For a project in the works, can you suggest the names of some younger writers and thinkers on the subject of autofiction? I'm assembling the semi-(or more) autobiographical stories of a popular 20th C. author into a collection & need a contemporary writer to introduce the stories to younger readers.

@jbf1755.bsky.social, what do you make of Ellis's FOUNDING BROTHERS? I just found a factual error in one of the few areas I know pretty well, & am less impressed with him than I had been. But maybe he's more accurate than I'm thinking? (He placed Burr living at Manhattan's tip in 1804.)

How I'm importing my "following" list from FB, X, etc to here: I search for people I follow on other sites, and then I use the people they follow to repopulate my list of folks to follow. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
