Meanwhile, Free Agent is developing a relationship with Twilight. He tells her how he was placed as a changeling nymph with a childless griffon couple, taking the form of a griffon cub. But his true nature lets him change into a pegasus which has lips to kiss the alicorn.

The story of Cogs the changeling pegasus was barely the start of my MLP tales and the art that I loved to include with them. Cogs and Lavender had two daughters and a son who in turn brought others into their lives.

Cogs introduces Twilight to his wife, Lavender and begs the alicorn to help restore her horn. Only alicorn-level magic can do the job and Twilight manages to remove the damaged portion and restore the rest to a foal-sized but working horn. It will eventually grow more though.

Cogs never expected to fall in love with a pony, but it fills him with joy. However, when he was told that he had to meet Lavender's parents, he was daunted. Then her mother asked that dread question - "When are you going to give us grandfoals?" How was he supposed to answer that? Art by Foxenawolf.
