Weirdly the hourly rate is close-ish, but the AI must be assuming we get paid for a full 40 hours. If only. I'm lucky if I get 10!

Ok no need to be rude! People who were 10-15 around 9/11 are in their mid- to late-thirties now and don't seem to be the primary drivers of the Y2K nostalgia wave (which is more a Gen Z trend, as you alluded to)

I wonder if this holds true for cohorts who were 10-15 during tumultuous eras? I'm thinking of post-9/11, early covid, etc.
