I couldn't bloody agree more. Like, I LOVE myself a good twink, BUT WHEN I ASK FOR A HUMANOID DRAGON BOYFRIEND, THERE BETTER BE SOME GOOD AMOUNT OF FUCKING DRAGON IN 'IM. I didn't ask for a palette-swapped anime protag, for god's sake!

...parts of that fill bar as like, fighting game Meter abilities, like a giant punch with enormous knockback, or Heavenly Potemkin Buster-type of grab that deals colossal damage, or even a super dash that flies in a direction and if it hits, knocks a flying enemy down or a grounded one up in the air

Combo Gauntlets. Two large metal gauntlets (you need one in your offhand) who deal fairly average damage, but the more you hit, the more damage you deal, which you can see thanks to a combo bar (it caps eventually to something greater than average damage). You then can use- (continues below)
