Honestly, There's a non zero chance that this spiritually successful If Kodaka continues his trend of hyping up a character in the trailer, then killing them off first. But I don't think Kodaka would be able to go through with killing off the internet's (and his) fan favorite.

Funnily enough this is the path I am currently on. Read Higurashi in middle school, discovered Umineko a year or so ago. (Currently on episode 8) and have put my friends on Higurashi where i'm re-reading with them. I am so excited to finally reach Ciconia and am already thinking about it-
